Pianist Chick Corea, bassist Stanley Clarke and drummer Jack DeJohnette and are widely acknowledged as three of jazz music’s greatest musicians. Individually, each is an acclaimed and recognized virtuoso player, accomplished bandleader, composer and producer. From Miles Davis to Pat Metheny, each has collaborated with many, if not all, of the major figures in jazz, earning more accolades and awards than can be listed. Both Corea and DeJohnette are National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master Awardees, the highest honor our nation bestows on jazz musicians. Each artist can easily claim to be at the forefront of many of the most innovative, significant and influential musical projects starting thirty years ago and continuing up through today. Not content at any time to rest on laurels or be easily categorized, these three artists have not only remained current, but have continued to lead the way while pushing the limits of their art.
