You’ve heard of a match made in heaven; well this one promises to be one hell of a show!
Rambling around the country for the past two years with a detour into the fabled studio of John Vanderslice to produce one of the best long playing proud-to-be-two-sided albums since the dawning of cd’s , Oakland based 5-piece, Tumbleweed Wanderers have rocked our stage before. Young and energetic, this group will get you rocking and dancing the night away. The Wanderers are reminiscent of Dylan, Crosby Stills Nash and Young and Simon and Garfunkel. Their voices and instruments bring a youthful freshness mixed with old soul wisdom.
Their record release show at The Great American Music Hall in July was a near-sellout; “So Long” broke out with huge sales and is an instant radio favorite. Since then, they were featured on the Juxtapose stage all three days at Outside Lands and recently, in a prestigious opening slot for Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers at The Fox Theater in Boulder. Their current success is a 3-week tour opening for triple platinum Australian born musician, Angus Stone. Then, they continue on with a visit to Santa Cruz where you can experience the high-octane jams and sweet-ass harmonies up-close.
Laura Jean Anderson will move you with her haunting vocals and stirring guitar rhythms. Her hard driving melodic style builds slowly and her perfect delivery of original songs will be backed by a deeply effecting 4-piece band including trumpet player, John German. Hailing from the Pacific Northwest by way of Los Angeles. Catch these rising stars!
