With the creative subtlety of Shelly Manne and the powerful swing of Philly Joe Jones, Hamilton is a paragon of tasteful interplay, whether drumming for the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, which he co-leads, or performing with jazz luminaries like Monty Alexander, or Diana Krall.
