In the vanguard of the “nuevo flamenco” movement, Caminos Flamencos co-founders Yaelisa and Jason “El Rubio” McGuire have dedicated themselves to the presentation of traditional and contemporary flamenco music and dance. Yaelisa is an Emmy award-winning choreographer and dancer, and the recipient of a NEA Choreography Fellowship. Jason McGuire is internationally respected as one of the top flamenco guitarists playing today, as can be heard on his critically acclaimed recording Distancias.
