There is a unique comedy review that is touring the country with some of the funniest, edgiest, talented and most outrageous comics united by a single theme…THE QUEER QUEENS OF QOMEDY. Producer and internationally known comedian Poppy Champlin is one of the quickest witted comics working either coast. With a Showtime Special under her belt, she is now producing her own tour; The Queer Queens of Qomedy. She artfully selects the best of the best lesbian comics from across the country to join her at each venue. Now, in it’s seventh year, Poppy is thrilled to have Curve Magazine as this years official sponsor.
Erin Foley is a true comedian. She just has it. She makes you laugh without you even understanding what she just said. It doesn’t matter. Her credits are a freight train long and rolling. From her recent appearances on Conan and Chelsea Lately, to Comedy Central and TV Guides’ newest hit show Stand-Up in Stilettos, Erin is working it. She is one of the most sought after female comics working today.
The newest Queen to join the troupe is Marilyn Pittman. Marilyn is one of the first openly gay comics in the country. GLAAD gave her an award for being such a pioneer. She won best One Woman Show in the New York Festival United Solo for her work in “It’s All The Rage.” She is the voice for LGBT on NPR on a show called Out in The Bay and she refers to herself as the Gay Terry Gross. Her celebrity interviews include John Water and Sybil Sheperd. She also teaches performance at UC Berkley’ Journalism School.
