Jazz Kiln

The Jazz Kiln is a series of six weekly jazz improvisation workshops designed to offer a safe, supportive place for musicians of all ages to explore their musical boundaries. This series is directed by noted jazz educator, composer and pianist Eddie Mendenhall. Students also benefit from masterful insights of local bassist extraordinaire, Dan Robbins.  Eddie and Dan have teamed up to offer a truly exciting and all-encompassing improvisation curriculum, culminating in a “Playing with the Pros” performance on the final day of class. Jazz Kiln – Final Day

Students of the Jazz Kiln workshops will demonstrate their chops in a  ”Playing with the Pros” performance in this final day of class. Drummer, Mike Shannon, will join Eddie Mendenhall and Dan Robbins to complete a powerhouse rhythm section backing each student as they play their piece individually. Friends and family are welcome to attend the final day performance. These workshops are advanced enrollment only. Master Class Series The New Standard: Vocalist Lori Rivera and Pianist Marshall Otwell

Singer Lori Rivera is well known for her vocal talents in jazz, a cappella, pop, and musical theatre.
