The Jazz Kiln is a series of six weekly jazz improvisation workshops designed to offer a safe, supportive place for musicians of all ages to explore their musical boundaries. This series is directed by noted jazz educator, composer and pianist Eddie Mendenhall. Students also benefit from masterful insights of local bassist extraordinaire, Dan Robbins. Eddie and Dan have teamed up to offer a truly exciting and all-encompassing improvisation curriculum, culminating in a “Playing with the Pros” performance on the final day of class.
These workshops are advanced enrollment only and are not open to the public for auditing. If you are interested in finding out more information please check the website for updates, kuumbwajazz.org/education/jazz-kiln or call the office at 831-427-2227 for additional information.
