What time should I arrive at the venue?

Doors for all Kuumbwa presented events open an hour before the concert. We recommend you arrive at least thirty minutes before show time in order to get seated. While you wait for the concert please visit our café and beverage bar.

What about venue accessibility?

We’re happy to work with you—please call the Administrative Office at 831-427-2227 and let us know how we can help. Kuumbwa Jazz is wheelchair accessible.

Where is the Kuumbwa Jazz Box Office?
Kuumbwa Jazz members can purchase tickets over the phone by calling the Administrative Office at 831-427-2227. Non-members can purchase tickets for Kuumbwa presented events in person at Logos Books and Records, 1117 Pacific Avenue in downtown Santa Cruz, or through our website at http://kuumbwajazz.inticketing.com/events

Kuumbwa does not have a dedicated on-site box office.

Are tickets available on the night of the concert?
If the concert is not sold out, tickets can be purchased at the door. Doors open 1 hour before (Kuumbwa presented) concerts.

Can I pick out my seats?
Kuumbwa Jazz members who donate at the All-Star level and above can reserve seats. While exact seating requests cannot be guaranteed, we do our best to accommodate general seating preferences and requests.

How can I buy tickets and support the organization?

Can I buy tickets for other people using my membership?
Yes. Feel free to buy tickets for family, friends or colleagues. Remember: you must place and pay for the ticket order under your membership account. The tickets will be listed under your name on the will-call list. Then you may distribute the tickets to others on your own.

Do you sell tickets for Independently Produced shows at Kuumbwa Jazz Center?
No. Kuumbwa Jazz only sells tickets for Kuumbwa Presented Concerts.

Can I exchange tickets that I have purchased?
Tickets are not exchangeable at either ticket outlet (Logos Books & Records and online sales). Kuumbwa Jazz members may receive a refund for a nominal service fee of  $2.50 by calling the Administrative Office more than 24 hours before the show.

If I can’t go to the concert, can I get a refund?
Kuumbwa Jazz members who have purchased tickets through the Kuumbwa Jazz Administrative Office may obtain refunds on a ticket by calling more than 24 hours before the show, minus a nominal service fee of  $2.50. Non-member tickets purchased online or in person at Logos books and Records are non-refundable.

What is “Will-Call” and where is it?
Kuumbwa Jazz does not utilize a separate “will call” booth in the traditional sense. Your name will be on the printed “will-call” list at the door. All “will-call” patrons and ticket holders line up in the same line. Please be prepared to show your photo ID, credit card and confirmation number at the door to gain admittance.

How do I pick up tickets that I won through a radio station?

Kuumbwa Jazz frequently offers promotional tickets to local radio stations. If you won tickets to a specific Kuumbwa Jazz concert thru a radio station giveaway, your name will be on the Kuumbwa Jazz Guest List. For admittance, please be prepared to show a photo ID. Tickets are not transferable.

Can I purchase a gift certificate for concert tickets?
Yes, at this time gift certificates are only available by calling the administrative office at (831) 427-2227.

How do I use my Comp Tickets? 

As printed on Comp Ticket, please call the Kuumbwa office at least 72 hours prior to a performance to make a reservation. Kuumbwa reserves the right to restrict use, and each show has a limited number of Comps which may be accepted.

Can I bring my child? 

Kuumbwa Jazz is an all age venue. If the child is old enough to require a seat then a ticket purchase is required. We do not offer child admission prices on most shows.

Is there parking? 

Yes, free parking is available, but limited. Paid parking garages and/or metered street parking is within walking distance of the venue. Meters operate daily until 8:00 pm.

Where is the venue located?

Kuumbwa Jazz is located at 320 Cedar Street Santa Cruz, CA 95060.

Can I eat dinner while attending a concert?
Café Kuumbwa serves healthy dinners one-hour before all Kuumbwa produced concerts, and is served in the same room as the concert hall. Dinners are available on a first-come, first-served basis, as we do not take advance reservations. View our Café Kuumbwa page for more information. In addition, there are numerous restaurants and eating establishments located within walking distance of the club.

Can I bring my own food?
No. Due to City health ordinances, we cannot allow food to be brought into the venue from outside.

Does Kuumbwa serve drinks?
Yes. Kuumbwa Jazz serves beer, wine, soda, coffee tea, etc. Our wine bar features an excellent selection of premium, local wines as well as a variety of domestic and imported beer, including Santa Cruz Ale Works Hefeweizen, Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery IPA, Seabright Amber and Guinness on tap.

Can I bring my own wine?
Yes, the corkage fee is $15.00 per bottle. You will need to check in with the bar staff for glassware upon arrival.

How many people does the venue seat?
Kuumbwa Jazz seats 200, providing an intimate concert going experience. There are no viewing obstructions – literally not a bad seat in the house! Seating is General Admission.
